Each named after African explorers, the suites take luxury to its limits in the Zambezi valley. Individual colonial style structures, each suite commanding its own unique view over the river.

Finished with ceiling fans, mini-bars, personal safes for valuables, king-size beds (two of the suites have twin beds for those who prefer), pure down, rich fabrics, leather, natural hardwood timbers, granite and oriental rugs, the Baines Explorer Suites offer every comfort and luxury.

Whilst game viewing might be the prime reason for the more remote wildlife areas and national parks in Africa, Baines’ River Camp is very proud to be located in one of the last real wilderness areas of Africa where we offer some of the finest game viewing available anywhere in Africa.

The Lower Zambezi area offers over 60 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds, along with a vast array of trees and differing habitats.

The day’s activities include a choice of game drives in 4x4 vehilces, game-cruises with an experienced river guide and fishing for the world famous African Tigerfish.
