The house is situated under a grove of large trees and is well shaded from the hot African sun. Large windows allow light to flood into all the rooms - two luxurious bedrooms (a double and a triple), each with its own bathroom and a central sitting and dining room - and all have wonderful views. There is a private kitchen and chef, along with a valet, so meals can be served where and when you like. This is particularly important for families with children and there are many hosted activities which can be arranged for children, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the quiet river sliding by. There is also a private guide and safari vehicle for the gameviewing activities. Days are as full or languid as one wishes. The private guide is always on hand with your safari vehicle for game viewing activities and if one should want to make forays on foot - really the best form of safari - an armed scout can be easily arranged.
Evenings are spent dining al fresco after long sundowners on the terrace, reflecting on the day’s safari by boat, canoe, over land or on foot and making plans for the next.
