The River Club is situated twenty kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River. The lodge has a distinct Edwardian flavour and comprises ten luxury, thatched chalets overlooking the Zambezi River, each with en-suite facilities. All the rooms have fans and are completely open in the front giving guests the best possible views of the river.

The lounge and dining areas are in the main house, and in front of it is a spectacular oval shaped infinity pool from which there are impressive views of the Zambezi.

The Zambezi national park is located just across the river, and elephants and hippos are regularly seen (and heard) along the river's edge. Relaxed morning and afternoon holiday activities include daily trips to the falls, boat trips to one of the Zambezi’s many islands, fishing and sundowner trips.

The lodge's main area is a well-appointed residence, with a comfortable lounge, large dining room, impressive library and wide veranda on which breakfasts and teas are taken.

Ten luxury chalets are spread out amongst the riverine vegetation, comprising luxurious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, most being split-level.
 
Their originality stems from the fact that one side is completely open to the river, so that there is an uninterrupted vista of the Zambezi and its far bank from both bed and bathtub.
 
Each room looks west into glorious African sunsets best viewed from the privacy of a ball and claw bath.
