Tembo House Hotel, Zanzibar

The Tembo House Hotel has an excellent location right on the seafront and Stone Town’s shops, markets and restaurants are less than five minutes walk away.

The hotel has been restored from an atmospheric Omani residence, and all the spacious rooms are beautifully decorated in Arabian and traditional Zanzibari ornaments, antiques and furniture. Rooms are furnished with sunken Persian baths, big four-posters beds, and have air-conditioning, telephones, television, fridges and en-suite bathrooms.

The hotel's swimming pool allows you to cool off during the heat of the day. Other facilities include a good restaurant featuring local and international cuisine, and bar (serving hot and cold soft drinks only) overlooking a small beach.
