Mchanga Beach Lodge

Mchanga Beach Lodge is located on the less busy northern end of Kiwengwa Beach in northeast Zanzibar. It is a very new, small lodge with a lovely pool beside a stunning beach. Standards are high, yet its prices are low – purely because it's new.

This is a very pleasant upper middle range beach lodge with only a handful of rooms on the back of a very lovely white sand beach. The South African and American owners (Gloria, Thomas and their team) are friendly, welcoming and very attentive and host the lodge personally, offering pretty high levels of service.

Mchanga Beach Lodge was recently re-built and just opened in June 2008. It now has 6 beautifully designed Sea View Lodge Rooms and 2 Garden Suites.

Each en-suite Sea View Lodge Room is spacious and airy with a combination of multi-functional shuttered, hand crafted, wooden louver doors, electric ceiling fans, air conditioning and traditionally high beamed ceilings.

On July 1st Mchanga Beach Lodge opened it's beautiful, new beach front Spa for the exclusive use of their guests! The Spa Menu offers Full Body Massages, Couple Massages, and a full range of Spa Beauty Treatments. Treatments may be pre-booked or booked on arrival.
