Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel

Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel sits at one end of a glorious stretch of pristine beach on the extreme northern tip of Zanzibar.

Ras Nungwi Hotel is built from hand-cut coral limestone and other natural materials. There are 32 rooms furnished with handcrafted four-poster beds, mosquito nets and local décor. All the rooms at Ras Nungwi are air conditioned and have en-suite facilities and a veranda. Lodge rooms have a garden view and both types of chalet room, superior and superior deluxe, have a mini-bar and sea view, with proximity to the ocean being closer the higher the category. The superior deluxe chalets also have a music system and other special extras.

The hotel’s one bedroom ‘Ocean Suite’ offers great privacy and luxury. It comes complete with handcrafted wooden furniture, a king-size four-poster bed, music system, breakfast-bar and a well-appointed bathroom. It also has a plunge pool and private access directly onto the beach.

The number and variety of the reefs surrounding Ras Nungwi make it a perfect diving holiday destination. The Hotel has a fully equipped dive centre, professionally run to international PADI standards. Dive adventures are available for all experience levels including beginners who can be trained to full PADI certification by a resident instructor. Aside from sea based activities, the Hotel also has mountain bikes for hire, there is a large outdoor pool, and there are a number of other small facilities, such as table tennis, pool, darts, board games and a TV room.
