Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, were discovered by David Livingstone in 1855. They attract thousands of tourists every year, to walk in the beautiful rain forest and look at the scenic view points of the falls. Most of our clients combine a holiday to Victoria Falls with a safari in the neighbouring game reserves.

During the months of November to April, you will get particularly wet and the sound of the falls will be almost deafening.

From the hotels, it is easy to walk around to local attractions and the properties have courtesy shuttles or will be able to arrange taxis / tours for you.

Most good hotels / lodges will have good dining options for guests and outside patrons.

There are some excellent value three and four/five star hotels. Adding to this, there are ‘safari lodge’ type accommodation near to the river or in private concessions near the National Parks.

When to go

All activities are dependent on ACTUAL water levels:

• A flight in a helicopter or microlight is fabulous year round (except in heavy rainstorms!)
• Livingstone Island can possibly be visited between Sept and Jun - and the Devil's Pool opens at very low water!
• Rafting is most hair-raising between Sept and Nov.
