Singita Serengeti
Singita Serengeti is a brand new private game concession bordering the western corridoor of the Serengeti. The area has excellent year round game viewing, and is also ideally placed for the annual wildebeest migration. Singita Serengeti has three super luxurious lodges Sasakwa, Faru Faru and Sabora Plains.
Sasakwa Hilltop Lodge is a defining example of understated colonial style luxury. Rooms are set along an escarpment overlooking the open Serengeti plains, each with a heated outdoor plunge pool and sumptious victorian style bathroom. State of the art in-room extras include dvd players, plasma television screens, wifi and butler service. Game drives and bush walks are supplemented by a host of other activities including mountain biking, tennis, croquet, billiards, archery, star gazing, hot air balooning, and game viewing on horse back (there is a fully equipped equestrian centre with 16 horses).
The two other lodges Faru Faru and Sabora Plains are smaller and simpler, but still have the same unstinting standards. Swarovski binoculars are provided for all guests on game drives, and a wide range of other activities are possible including game viewing on horseback from the equestrian centre at nearby Sasakwa.
Sabora Plains Tented Camp has six colonial style air conditioned tents that have incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding plains. The camp has a heated plunge pool, jacuzzi, tennis court and spa, and guests also have access to the equestrian centre at Sasakwa.
Faru Faru River Lodge has six luxurious air conditioned suites. Contructed from local stone and rock, the suites overlook the Grumeti River and have huge picture windows and a sliding glass front wall to make the most of the views. An infinity edge swimming pool, and large open fronted lounge and dining area form the central part of the lodge, and there is also a full bar, and health spa.
